Title: Technician 1
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Location: Topeka, KS
As a Technician for ALC, you will be an important member of the team that processes various types of equipment we receive. You will be working on your feet and some heavy lifting is required. You may also be asked to assist with special projects as necessary. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with great communication and organization skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform some testing and refurbishing of equipment such as swapping hard drives, memory, power supplies, etc.
- Wipe hard drives in PCs, laptops, Macs, and flash BIOS
- Test and recover components from equipment for reuse
- Enter details into database for various types of equipment
- Ability to remove parts
- Familiarity with using light hand tools
- Ability to perform light disassembly
- Ability to learn processes and procedures
- Maintain assigned area in a neat, organized, and orderly appearance
- Proven ability to achieve quota/goal targets
- Complete other tasks as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Job related certificates or experience preferred
- Have knowledge of the different types of hard drives and memory
- Must be security conscience
- Must be dependable, self motivated, and have an ability to work independently
- Able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must have flexibility to change processes as needed for various clients or projects
- Must have ability to handle product with pallet jack
Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift 35 pounds as required
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of the day
- Work will be performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment (may be excessively warm in the summer months and cool in the winter months)
- Business hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm CST
