Summer Intern - Business Development

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a 10-12 week period
Location: Onsite (Holton, KS), Hybrid Remote or Remote
 
Business Development Intern:
Join our dynamic team as a Business Development Intern! With Prairie Band LLC, you'll support our sales and business development efforts by researching potential clients, preparing outreach materials, and assisting with administrative tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field and make a significant impact on our company.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and Prospecting
    • Identify and analyze potential clients and industry trends.
    • Segment prospects based on various criteria.
    • Compile and maintain comprehensive prospect lists.
  • Outreach and Communication:
    • Create and distribute engaging outreach materials, including email templates and presentations.
    • Assist with scheduling meetings and follow-ups to ensure seamless communication.
  • Administrative Support
    • Manage calendars and schedules efficiently.
    • Handle client emails and correspondence with professionalism.
    • Generate insightful reports and presentations.
    • Support event planning and coordination.
  • Learning and Development
    • Shadow experienced business development professionals to gain hands-on experience.
    • Learn about advanced sales processes and strategies.
    • Develop skills in market research, lead generation, and client relationship management.
Key Skills and Qualities:
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills across teams, with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving results and executing successful strategies.
  • Detail-oriented organizational skills.
  • A strong academic record (minimum 3.5 GPA).
Indian Preference Exercised:
Prairie Band LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 1 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).
