Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer day-to-day human resources operations and provide support to employees and managers.
  • Support the recruitment process: post job openings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and onboard new hires.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions.
  • Maintain employee data and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, escalating issues when needed.
  • Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employment-based sponsorship processes (e.g., H-1B, OPT) and ensure ongoing compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an HR role.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, including state-specific regulations in Kansas and Missouri.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Experience with information technology tools or systems is a plus.
