Title: Inventory Control 1
Schedule: Non-exempt, Full-time 40 hours/week
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Location: Topeka, KS
The Inventory Control 1 role is designed to develop well-rounded team members capable of contributing to either area based on business needs. At this level, the Inventory Control 1 is expected to demonstrate proficiency in one area either warehouse material handling or digital inventory control while actively cross-training in the other. Under general supervision, this role supports the accurate intake, sorting, and processing of materials and inventory records. This role serves as the foundation of ALC's operational team and is a steppingstone toward greater independence and responsibility at higher levels.
Responsibilities
- Learns and builds familiarity with ALC's internal processes, product categories, and operational workflows
- Receiving, sorting, organizing, or moving inventory within a warehouse
- Support ongoing efforts to manage our large digital inventory catalog
- Pulling/Picking/Verifying Accuracy of Online Orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional and safe working environment
- Manage space restrictions and move product appropriately
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Post secondary training and/or 2 or more years of experience with Inventory, Online Sales or Databases
- Experience with Excel or other Databases or Inventory Control Software
- Keen attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as required
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of the day
- Ability to carry items and to reach, bend and stoop frequently
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Proven ability to achieve quota/goal targets
- Safety conscious at all times
Work Conditions:
- Work will be performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment (may be excessively warm in the summer months and cool in the winter months)
- Business hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm CST (Full time)
- Casual dress code including jeans
