In 2008 the family was approached about building a football/baseball/softball complex in rural Kansas. The company brass wanted the focus to remain on golf courses and fitness, but Jake pursued the opportunity and Kansas Turf was born. Over the past nine years the company has grown from 3 employees to over 70. Site work, golf course renovations, sports complex design and build, synthetic turf, natural grass, and cemetery renovations are some of the highlights of the company portfolio. The Project Manager/Estimator/Sales position is a vital role in our day-to-day operations as well as it’s growth.  This full-time position provides leadership to the project staff and ensures quality and timely completion of multiple projects.  This employee will also project estimates, take-offs, budget proposals, construction scope determination, and be involved with client and subcontractor correspondents, project schedules, site meetings and material procurement.  The successful candidate will be a determined self-starter, accept challenges, have a strong work ethic, be productive, positive and a team player.

Qualifications required include knowledge of the construction industry, an ability to navigate common business software such, as Microsoft Word, Excel and email, excellent telephone and business etiquette and a strong working knowledge of general office policies and procedures. Additionally, successful candidates will possess knowledge of budgeting and budget practices, an ability to manage a variety of tasks concurrently and strong organizational skills.
