The Warehouse Lead works as an integral part of the warehouse team, performing a support role to assist the Warehouse Manager with daily activities.  The Warehouse Lead is also directly responsible for coordinating daily tasks with shipping clerks.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:
  • Under minimal supervision of Warehouse Manager - acts as the focal person for all incoming shipments, stocking, kitting, inventory system update, records maintenance and warehouse cleanliness.
  • Oversee shipping clerks for productivity, continuous improvement, and component delivery cycle time, daily output, safety, physical cycle count and team well-being as the primary goal.
  • Responsible for receiving incoming inspection purchased items if it requires inspection.
  • Support and follow ISO Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Validate and verify incoming shipping documents, quantity and quality.
  • Ensure all physical movement of inventory is recorded properly, including warehouse transfers.
  • Ensure all items in stockroom locations have the proper inventory pallet tag or bin tag.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager in reconciling inventory discrepancies.
  • Immediately report any damage and/or discrepancies to Warehouse Manager, and ensure that the damages and discrepancies are documented on a timely basis.
  • Set the example of "pace setter" for the group, serving as their immediate coach and mentor. Ensure team members are performing with clear and accurate direction. Monitor performance of shipping clerks and coach whenever necessary.
  • Focus on priority goals of on time distribution for production requirements.
  • Establish a clean, neat, organized manufacturing warehouse.
  • Maintain department established goals to achieve company goals and quality objectives.
  • Operate computerized shipping manifest systems such as UPS, FedEx, etc.
  • Ensure all orders are picked and packed according their shipping schedule.
  • Ensure all due orders are shipped daily.
  • Prepare freight bills, air bills and other shipping related documents.
  • Plan, organize and prioritize orders based on ship method and carrier schedules.
  • Loads and unloads materials from trucks using forklift or pallet jack.
  • Prepare labels and Bill of Lading per routing guide and customer specifications.
  • Prepare the shipments per routing guide and customer specifications accordingly.
  • Schedule carriers for pick-ups and follow up on pick-up schedule, especially on customer arranged pick-ups to ensure the pick-ups take place on timely manners.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.
Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in general warehouse activities.
  • SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present information and answer questions clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to analyze data or information by identifying the underlying principles, reasons or facts of information while using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, plan, set priorities and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of HFRM.
  • Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
Physical Demands:
  • Twist and turn moves.
  • Squatting.
  • Ability to overhead lift supplies up to 50 pounds.
