Customer Service Representative:
The Customer Service Rep is based out of Brownwood, TX and is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers on behalf of Lortscher Animal Nutrition Inc. by taking personal and complete responsibility for each customer contact and by ensuring that all customer requirements are completely met.  The Customer Service Rep is also responsible for communicating customer requirements to the sales and production team, in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products.
  • Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Contact customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
  • Support the sales division with the continuous gathering and documentation of information dealing with regulations, customer inquiries, labeling or other requested information by fielding phone calls and email requests from both customers and Lortscher sales group.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.  Demonstrate reliable and consistent on-time quality results.
  • Setup and maintain customer files.
  • Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increase or decrease in demand for products.
  • Knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time, drop ship items, various marketing promotional services as required.
Requirements of the Job:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service, sales or account management role.  A BS or Assoc. Degree in Agriculture or related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be computer literate and efficient with all Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point)
  • Minimal travel required.  (1 day per month)
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills (ability to work effectively with others in non-conflict and conflict situations)
  • Confident communicator, positive and upbeat attitude, and a self-starter with the ability to initiate, cultivate and build relationships with a wide range of professionals.
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, phone and customer service skills.  Manage time effectively.
