Norton County Hospital has a career opportunity for a Risk Management and Quality Improvement Manager.  Applicant must have strong communication, organization, and computer skills.  An RN with previous experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.  Position is full-time with office hours typically Monday-Friday.  Applicant must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization. 
 
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Quality Improvement:
  • Leads and directs all quality management activities for the hospital, including the Quality Council Committee, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting improved health care outcomes.
  • Develops strategic plans and policies for improved quality throughout the hospital and works with top management to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Performs computer-based statistical analysis of data related to the Quality Improvement program and reports to regulatory agencies on the regularly scheduled basis.
 
Risk Management:
  • Maintain hospital wide Risk Management program to help assure effective reporting, investigation and follow-up of possible adverse events
  • Conduct studies as needed to determine and assure optimal patient care
  • Assist with development of policies to reflect risk and quality issues
  • Conduct quarterly Risk Management meetings
  • Report to KDHE and Hospital Board of Trustees quarterly
  • Serve on necessary committees
