Latimer, Sommers & Associates, P.A. (LSA) is seeking an Administrative Assistant for its Topeka, KS location.
LSA is a professional engineering firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Telecommunications systems design.  The firm has roots in Northeast Kansas and has been established for over 65 years.  LSA performs design and consulting work in more than 35 states across the nation, generating a diverse portfolio of projects. We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude.  Candidates should be able to assist Partners and other employees and all visitors to the company by providing professional, polite and attentive assistance while also being accurate via phone, mail, and e-mail and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.  Candidates should be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly, comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication.

Required qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • Previous experience with, or an ability to learn to use common office equipment, such as modern phone systems and copy machines
  • Comfort with multitasking and handling multiple requests from different individuals and departments
  • Ability to work quickly and in a potentially high-stress environment
  • Strong communication skills and extremely self-motivated when managing communication channels
  • Highly organized and capable of creating organizational systems that others can easily utilize
