Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Job Classification: Non-exempt, Part-time (up to 25 hours per week)
Reporting Relationship: Director of Development
Salary: $18.00/hr

Primary Accountabilities:
The Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing database management for Dear Neighbor Ministries and StepStone, and performs administrative duties related to fundraising, marketing, and public relations. The position will assist in donor recognition, stewardship, implementation of events, and any activities related to the development department.

Major Duties:

  • Maintain the integrity of the donor management database (Bloomerang), to include accurate and consistent input of data and donor information.
  • Enter donations in the database and create and send donation acknowledgments daily. Submit daily receipts to the Finance Director.
  • Update campaigns, appeals, and other content in the donor management database to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting.
  • Report on fundraising progress, as requested.
  • Assist with the production and implementation of appeals and other fundraising communications.
  • Run reports to create segmented mailing lists for appeals and other direct mail communications.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the mailing house to ensure timely delivery of all direct mail.
  • Manage print inventory (letterhead, envelopes, etc.) to ensure necessary materials are available for daily use and mass mailings.
  • Assist in creation of donor newsletters and marketing emails.
  • Support the Board Development Committee by taking meeting minutes and providing support materials, as requested.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Development Director. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Passionate about helping others and generating revenue to support our neighbors in need.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, and function effectively with a minimum of daily direction.
  • Knowledge and experience with data management systems and reporting, or a willingness and motivation to learn.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, lift, carry, push, pull, balance, stoop, reach, handle, talk, hear, see, grasp, move head and neck and movement across mid-line.
  • Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds occasionally and up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently.
  • Finger dexterity, manual dexterity, alertness, precision, motor coordination, auditory discrimination and tactile discrimination.
  • Ability to climb multiple levels of stairs.

Work Environment:

  • Inside/indoor office environment which provides protection from weather condition, but not necessarily temperature changes.
  • Interaction with staff and participants.
