CLINICAL NURSE REVIEWER needed in busy Home Health Agency. Join a team of professionals responsible for reviewing electronic or hard copy clinical documentation for quality of care, accuracy, and compliance with reimbursement criteria. Be responsible for assuring all OASIS are complete and accurate prior to reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Proficiently review OASIS documents and Plans of Care (POCs) for completion and accuracy.
Export data to the State per agency guidelines and federal and state regulations.
Utilize reports from agency software system to ensure accurate OASIS documentation.
Keep clinical management informed of clinical documentation needs and variations.
Participate in in-service programs, train and teach other clinical personnel.
Keep current with Medicare changes including OASIS and PPS regulations.
Review and prepare POCs for physician signature.
Participate in quality improvement (QI) activities.
Education & Experience:
Registered Nurse (RN) with one year’s experience; in good standing and able to meet all federal and state licensure requirements.
OASIS certified or certification obtained within 1 year of date of hire.
Practices at or above the standards of care for the profession.
Home health and/or OASIS experience.
Possess assessment and teaching skills.
Computer skills and knowledge as required to perform job duties.
Problem solving abilities and positive interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to learn and apply professional training, following physician’s orders and produce accurate records of activities and services provided.
Ability to organize work procedures, assume responsibility and effectively train others.
Visiting Nurses requires a criminal background check and motor vehicle (MVR) check for all employees once a conditional offer of employment has been extended by the hiring manager.
