Primary Accountabilities: The Membership & Database Coordinator is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to current and prospective members. This position is a mix of customer support and database management and plays a vital role in managing the membership renewal process, recruitment, and retention efforts using analytical skills and digital strategies to drive membership growth. The ideal candidate is customer- and service-minded, highly experienced with databases/CRM platforms, comfortable with speaking to members and prospective members by phone, and adept in generating and interpreting analytical reports.
Primary Duties:
Provides exceptional customer service to members and prospective members, addressing general and membership inquiries and resolving issues.
Communicates with members and prospective members via telephone and email in a professional manner.
Oversees membership renewals, recruitment, and retention efforts.
Maintains and updates membership data in member database.
Analyzes membership data to identify trends and develop digital strategies for recruitment and retention.
Prepare monthly and annual membership reports, uses effective data visualization.
Processes department requests for email lists and assists with other data-related inquiries and projects.
Collaborates with bookkeeping to process receivables, assists members with payments.
Assists the CLE and Event departments as needed.
Primary Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.
At least two (2) years of experience in a customer-facing or membership role.
At least two (2) years of experience with database, CRM systems, or relationship management platforms.
Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook).
Ability to source, analyze, and report on data.
Excellent project management skills with great attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to work effectively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Self-motivated, self-directed team player with a high level of professionalism and emotional intelligence.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapts well to changing needs; maintains professional demeanor.
Physical Demands:
Frequent periods of sitting, standing, or bending.
Must be able to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting.
